The first block of the year has already ended – time flies when you’re having fun!
Through this e-mail, we would like to inform you about our past and upcoming events for the next block. Please check out our website and Facebook page to stay up to date (you can find the links on the bottom of this e-mail). We hope to see you all at the activities!

Upcoming Events



7 November – Drinks

To celebrate the end of the first block and exams, we will be going for drinks this thursday. The drinks will take place at Wunderbar, just off Witte de With! Of course, the drinks will be free for the current Transito members, hope to see you there! Facebook Event

5 December – Sinterklaas Drinks

On the fifth of December, we will celebrate Sinterklaas’ birthday with a Sinterklaas-themed party. There will be pepernoten, “surprises” and free drinks. More info will follow soon!

6 December – Inhouse Day Maersk
The next day, on the sixth of December, we have an inhouse day at Maersk. This day is filled with activities to learn about the business of Maersk and the career opportunities for you as a student. We will have a look into the operations of Maersk at their terminal, their work at the office in the centrum of Rotterdam and lastly, we will have a discussion about relevant topics in the market with a drink at the end of the day. More information on how to apply will be shared soon.



12 December – Erasmus Port Campus– The port is digital!
On the twelfth of December, SmartPort@Erasmus and Young Port Talent Koen Jellema will organize the first seminar of the Erasmus Port Campus. The theme is “Digitisation in Ports; taking Smart Logistics to the Next Level”. The aim of this session is to bring the port into the campus and thereby connecting the academic world with real-life port practices outside.
Speakers: Donald Baan (Port of Rotterdam), Daan Vroom (ShipX and Venefidicus), Carmit Glik (Cogoport), Prof. Rommert Dekker (ESE). We will conclude the session with a social drink!

Antwerp trip

The annual port trip was a good way for the new UPT students to get to know each other and the city of Antwerp. We want to thank the Old board and Klaas specifically for organising this trip!



Port trip

We want to thank everyone who could make it for joining us on the Port Trip. We believe the trip to ECT was a great success! A special thanks to Ana Duskov and Bart Kuipers!
